She was so excited to finally meet Miss Olivia and, for her part, Olivia didn't disappoint. She was just a doll at brunch, a perfect baby. So perfect, in fact, that Jess and Gabe called her a "seduction baby," their term for a baby so good that it makes you wish, if for just a second, you had a baby too.
And Olivia is certainly a seduction baby if there ever was one! When she got sleepy at brunch, she didn't fuss or cry. No, not my baby. My baby quietly laid her forehead down on the table from her perch in her high chair and sighed dramatically, just to make sure we paused in conversation to notice that she was very, very sleepy (thankyouverymuch). Sure, we got a couple of strange stares from neighboring tables (with whispers, I'm sure, of "Those people don't let their baby nap, look at her falling asleep!") but it was darn cute. And, for the record, yes we do let our baby nap- this kid naps like a champ- she just has a flare for the dramatic. (Wonder where she got that from?!)
