Funny Little Lady

Our little lady seems to be growing so fast! Last Tuesday during a trip to the pediatrician (Olivia had croup, but she's all better now), she weighed in at 15 lbs! But more noticeable than her physical growth has been her social development. She's lately starting making a noise that we now lovingly refer to as her "screeching baby eagle" sound. She may not be rolling over quite yet, but she's so alert and observant. It seems like she's going to be such a smart, thoughtful person- we can't wait to see more of her personality shine through.

Olivia has a cute little hat she wears with ear flaps and ears on top, but she moves her head back and forth so much in her car seat that it always flips around. She won't be able to see a thing, but she quietly and patiently waits for Mommy or Daddy to come get her out of the car and turn her hat back around. Such manners! haha This is what I saw when I went to get her out of the car the other day.

Grandma's Visit

Grandma came to visit Olivia and spend the weekend with us. We went shopping, took a walk to Starbucks and (most exciting) Ryan and I got to have a date night! Yay! Gotta love grandparents!

A Taste of Spring in February

We had an unusually nice day here for February and decided to take the opportunity to introduce Olivia to the swing. She didn't seem too sure about it at first, but before long, she was smiling and giggling.

Welcome Baby Finn!

Shannon and Donnie welcomed their baby boy, Finn Joseph Weinheimer, into the world on January 20th. We went over to meet the little guy and take them dinner about a week after they got home from the hospital. He's such a cutie! It's amazing how quickly you forget how tiny newborns are when you're used to lugging around a little 14 lb chunker!

Just a Lazy Little Sunday

The smell of coffee fills the air, the sound of bacon sizzling in the pan, the cozy warmth of the kerosene heater, sitting back and relaxing with some good reading material. . . just another lazy Sunday in the Breeden house.

Just ignore the mess on the counter and the fact that it's a Clipper Magazine (What can we say? She's a genius AND she's frugal!)

Our Little Love Bug

Jump Around, Jump Around!!

We put together Olivia Jumperoo, but there one slight problem: her little feet are still about 4 inches from the floor. Still, if you stuff a blanket in the seat in front of her so she doesn't fall forward, she seems to like just hanging out and playing with the toys. This will be a lot more fun when she's actually big enough to bounce!

Baby It's Cold Outside!

On one of our warmer days recently (i.e. 40 degrees), Ryan and I decided to bundle the munchkin into the stroller and take our usual walk to Starbucks. With the sun shining, it was actually a pretty nice day compared to the artic temperatures we had been experiencing, but we didn't want to take any chances on Olivia getting cold. It'd say we did a pretty respectable job (though she didn't seem too amused).
